[메가경제=양대선 기자] As a resident company of Seoul Startup Hub Seongsu specializes in global re-commerce, Pierrot Company has surpassed last year’s entire annual results with its first-half performance.
Specializing in IT device subscriptions and global recommerce, Pierrot Company runs three services: PhoneGo, an IT device subscription service targeting B2C and B2B; reGo, purchasing service for unused corporate IT assets, and ‘reGo Trade’, a global used IT device recommerce infrastructure. The company has built an asset circular model that offers verification, commercialization, subscriptions, domestic distributions and global export, driven by the retrieval of unused IT devices.
As the company embraced not only a traditional subscription-centric revenue but also IT device transaction and relocation revenue via domestic distribution and global exports this year, its growth pace has accelerated. As a result, its first-half performance has already exceeded the last year’s total annual results.
The outcome shows the company’s asset circulation is effectively working in the market, ranging from IT device retrieval and commercialization, connecting domestic and global sellers and buyers, to executing exports, proving that it is not simply a one-time transaction achievement.
Pierrot Company’s competitive edge lies in relocating IT devices to an adequate market after evaluating the value of IT devices and distinct demands from different countries, going beyond merely buying and reselling used devices. Following the inspection and grading of surplus IT devices retrieved domestically, they will be supplied to either domestic subscribers or global buyers, enabling enterprises to monetize idle assets, while providing consumers and global markets with IT devices at reasonable prices.
The company aims to grow into a global asset circulation infrastructure which provides pricing data, transaction matching, inspection, logistics, customs clearance, payment, and insurance through the ‘reGO Trade’ service. To achieve this goal, it is collecting price data for used IT devices by country, predicting residual values using AI, and developing an automated matching system.
Park Min-jin, the CEO of Pierrot Company, noted “Our first-half performance surpassing the last year’s results indicates that our business model is effectively working in the market. We will continue not only to increase sales, but also strengthen transaction recurrence, profitability, global buyer network, and AI-powered automation capabilities to create a new standards for the global IT asset circulation market.”
Seoul Startup Hub Seongsu is at the heart of the company’s growth. Pierrot Company is leveraging provided workspace and infrastructure to strengthen its B2b networking capabilities and expand its partnership, investment and business networks. Seoul Startup Hub Seongsu, startup collaboration and institutional networking take place, serves as a place to secure domestic clients and lay the foundation for its global business simultaneously.
Based at Seoul Startup Hub Seongsu, Pierrot Company aims to expand its global target markets, including Southeast Asia and the Middle East, and strengthen its competitive edge in the global used IT device asset market by enhancing AI-based pricing forecasting and automated transaction technologies.
